By doing this, you not only decrease the load time of your site, you also allow the mobile user to easily access the information they came to your site to find.

Content Is Still King, But…

Longer and in-depth content is still very important, it has shown to generate a much larger percentage of leads. However, for mobile users, they don’t have the time or patience to scroll for hours sifting through excessive content. So, what should you do? In terms of the mobile user experience, you want to still use in-depth content, but make it more concise, and direct, ensuring that you optimally use as few words as possible.  You have to strike the right balance between detailed and direct.

A mobile first design strategy does not mean you have to throw away all your eye catching graphics and beautiful design work, because people still love a great presentation. A well designed site inspires trust and is more memorable, which are things that you want your visitors to experience. However, you just need to be aware that you are designing for a mobile user, so keep your graphics small in size. So how do you accomplish great graphics and presentation, while avoiding the hydra dreaded pixilation? By using colors that are vivid, geometric shapes, typographical elements, illustrations, etc. You can accomplish great creative design, while at the same time keeping it simple and concise. This will keep your load times down, while still impressing your site visitors.

There are several other components that you must consider in adopting a mobile-first design strategy, but these are the most crucial items, you need to include with your design concepts. Many people still use desktop computers, but it is in a sense, a dying trend, people like compact lightweight access to the global market, and mobile devices allow them that luxury.
